A fascination with history and the traditional ways of North American natives, led to research into early canoe designs and their development. Along the way Headwater Wooden Boat Shop was launched, by which time we had settled in Canada. We build cedar strip epoxy and wood canvas canoes, kayaks and small boats of classic designs. We also offer repairs, restorations and a line of canoe accessories & unique gifts. Over the years we have gained a reputation as builders of watercraft of outstanding beauty, design and craftsmanship.
