The shipyard is currently undergoing a major facility expansion program to meet the demands of the existing domestic marketplace and to develop the ability to met the requirements of international markets. The company recently opened a new, 24,000 s.f., high cube fabrication facility in December 1998. This facility has doubled the shipyard's capacity for delivery. It expects to increase employment to 125 people within one year. This expansion program will enable GLADDING-HEARN to remain a leader in the world of cost effective high performance vessels.
