Founded in 1983, Bauteck Marine Corporation is dedicated to designing and producing small boats of exceptional quality, performance and reliability. While cruising throughout the world, Christof and Laurie Bauer realized that a good, hard dinghy was hard to find. So, after assessing the requirements for the "perfect yacht tender," Christof designed the bauer 10. In 1988, the bauer 8 was introduced and the newest addition, the bauer 12 daysailer, made its premiere in late 1996. All bauer boats are constructed of hand laid and chopped fiberglass, have an interior liner, displacement hull design, high freeboard, wide beam, full length skeg and keel, high loading capacity and exceptional stability. Retractable centerboards and kick-up beaching rudders are standard features on all sailing models. Classic lines, exceptional performance and quality without compromise are the hallmarks of all bauer boats. A wide variety of options are available. All of our boats are custom made to each owner's specifications and can be purchased factory direct.
