ATV PartsATV Racing models or sport models are built to achieve high performance. To be triumphant at fast racing, an ATV is required to possess some basic qualities - light weight, high power, good suspension and a low center of gravity. These machines might well be customized for racing order, as motocross, woods racing, scrambles, cross country, desert racing, hill climbing, ice racing, speedway, TT, flat track and drag racing. If we look at some ATVS models useful in racing, then the list would include Yamaha YFZ450, Honda TRX450R, Suzuki Quad Racer R450, Kawasaki KFX450R, and Can-Am DS450. ATVs intended for fast trail riding consist of Yamaha Raptor 700R/660R, Warrior 350, Honda Sportrax 400EX and many more.
Kawasaki kfx400 and Bombardier/Can-Am DS650 are making a buzz in this particular section. Some other ATV models which have taken the world off to its feet would include Polaris Scrambler 500, Polaris Outlaw 500, Kawasaki KFX700, and Can-Am Renagade 800. If we look deep in the three wheel performance section, we will get to know about Honda ATC250R, Yamaha Tri-Z YTZ250 and Kawasaki Tecate KXT250, All these have been produced in way back 80's. Three Wheelers premeditated in favor of rapid track riding comprise Honda ATC350X and Honda ATC200X. In ATV racing category, more or less, these models have dominated the arena world over and participated in all types of races.
If we shift our focus from the ATVs to the kind of races available, then foremost among them might well be the Motocross which is often written as MX. It is an exceptional form of all-terrain vehicle racing that is organized on enclosed off-road circuits. Usually, it is held in wet weather, making way to muddy scenes. In motto-cross racing, all the riders have to be lined up at the side of each other, starting at the same time and racing the same distance. Tracks used for this purpose are usually quite large and provide natural terrain features with man made jumps. Conversely, Super cross racing occurs on an exclusively man made track, consisting of an extensive array of jumps.
The off-road ATV racing events are very similar to motocross, other than placing a larger weight upon natural terrain. Off-road racing also involves a longer period of time at much greater speeds than conventional motocross. This type of racing contains a set amount of laps or extensive distance loops to complete. The rider has to make their presence felt in the race. Drag racing is another type of ATV racing in which a contest begins from a standing start amid two vehicles side by side over a measured distance. It is a series of two-vehicle races, in which the losing driver in each race is done away with, and the captivating driver progresses in the next stage.
